The Princess Bride Movie is one of my favorite princess movies. Let me give you a quick synopsis of the movie and introduce you to the Princess Bride characters. I am sure when you get to know them, you are going to like them as much as I do.
The Princess Bride movie is a classic comedy with an all-star cast portraying a hilarious set of characters delivering unforgettable lines that have echoed in the heart of fans for years. When a young boy falls ill, his grandfather drops by for a visit. To cheer up his grandson, Grandpa begins to read story.
The story is one that has been handed along from father to son for generations. As the grandfather begins the tale, the exploit comes to life. The beautiful princess Buttercup has been kidnapped and is being held against her will to be forced to marry the loathsome Prince Humperdinck. Westley, her childhood love has come back as the Dread Pirate Roberts in a campaign to save his Buttercup.
When the beautiful Buttercup is kidnapped by a terrible group of goons in an effort to spark up an international incident that would benefit the scheming Prince Humperdinck, the Dread Pirate Roberts begins to follow to claim his place as Westley, Princes Buttercup’s one true love. Prince Humperdinck has plans to force Buttercup into marriage.
The story takes us to a time when fire swamps mined the forests, full of quicksand and giant rodents with lagoons populated by shrieking eels. Complete with all the swordplay, pursuing, escapes and silly characters along the way to save the princess and find true love.
The skillful swordsman known as Inigo Montoya, who had been long searching for a six-fingered man who killed his father, accompanied the Dread Pirate Roberts after a swordfight for the ages.
The Princess Bride is a tale of the love between the beautiful Buttercup and the head over heels in love Westley. This love had been cruelly interrupted with Westley's dreadful apparent death while at sea in the hunt for riches. Brokenhearted, Buttercup swears on no account to love again, but to agree to the rich and handsome Prince Humperdinck’s marriage proposal.
Fortunately, death is no obstacle for true love. With the help of a cynical miracle worker, Dread Pirate Roberts sets on a mission to reunite true love and along the way have fun storming castle. With all the twists and turns on a trail full of adventure. The crew spoils Humperdinck's evil plans as the true love of Westley and Buttercup wins the day.
Meanwhile, Inigo Montaya runs into the six-fingered man who murdered his father and takes his vengeance. And most importantly, Grandpa is able to tell the story without too much of the yucky kissing.

Westley always said "As you wish" to Buttercup.
Inigo Montoya repeats over and over again, "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die".
Buttercup, " We'll never survive." Westley replies, "Nonsense. You're only saying that because no one ever has."
Vizzini says, "Inconceivable!" The Grandson asks, "Is this a kissing book?"
Max and Fezzick:
"Max- beat it or I'll call the brute squad
Fezzick- I'm on the brute squad
Max- you ARE the brute squad."
